CSA Survivors - Post Season Awards

Reflecting upon the season, the following acknowledgments and recognitions to the participants of the Survivor league have been designated. 

All-Red Cross Players:

Karen Huber- broke her pinky preseason, but made it out to tape all the activities;   many thanks!

Sean Barstow- torn ACL/MCL on 1/28/03; a true inspiration to enjoy the game and not be so serious

Best Meltdown:

Jake Cohn (1/21/03)- game 1, much quicker than the experts predicted

Kathy Reiff (2/25/03)- “Will everyone stop yelling at me!”

Biggest Survivor Surprises:

Will Page (2/18/03)-  sorry ladies, he’s married!

Theresa Harkins (1/28/03)- papa, don’t preach!

Controversial Survivor Decisions:

Stephen Gilbert (2/18/03)- gave up immunity, only to find himself moments later as an Outcast

Lisa London (2/4/03)- despite a seeming unbreakable voting alliance, going on vacation mid season

Cutest Couples for Temptation Island Football next season:

Carleen Tullier and her bitch!

Jake Cohn and Kourtney Cotton

Dave Lautenschlager and Julie Zeisler

Funniest Moment During a Game:

Greg Bowers (2/25/03)- broken glasses, a limp, clueless and drooling is no way to play defense

Brian Schlossberg (1/28/03)- during an attempted flag pull, Stacy G.’s pants are torn off

Funniest Moment During a Challenge:

Julie Zeisler (1/28/03)- running victoriously across the finish line, crying and vomiting buttermilk

Beth Barstow (1/28/03)- gagging down a glass of pineapple soda

Most Improved Players:

Dave Lautenschlager- from “Drops”, to “Bobbles” to “da Man”

Kathy Reiff- dramatically improved her receiving and flag pulling

Most Valuable Players on Offense*:

Brett Barash- as a QB, he was not only a team leader, but one of the top performers as well

Sheilah Camcam- in the slot or split wide, she made the clutch catches time and time again

Most Valuable Players On Defense*:

Rob Wilson- only played in 4 games, and had a great impact in each accumulating 6 INTs

Paula Otto- pulling flags, making INTs or recording sacks, she always stepped up

Outstanding Players of the Season (“TOP DOnGs”)*:

Jack Rizzo- the star center was always making key plays on both sides of the ball

Jill Contarino- a fierce competitor, there was nothing that intervened with her intensity


* Although a case can be made for many people, the “true” awards can only go to remaining Survivors.
