Defeated #9 seed, Team Guinness, in the finals (3/13/02)
The only two seed not captained by a CSA executive ever to win a championship. Wide Right officially ends the curse.

The curse is officially over. After contributing victims #1 (Wide Right), 4 (Titans), and 22 (Renegades), Wide Right stopped forever the legendary CSA Two Seed Curse after 25 teams fell victim

The curse of the two seed dated back to September of 2000. From then until March 13, 2002, 27 teams entered the playoffs as a two and only two had triumphed. Prior to March 13th, the only two teams to break the curse were Roger Werner's (CSA VP), We're Not Hungover squad, who were the first team in 18 tries to win, and Leland's (CSA President) Revolution 2K2 team won the last championship of 2001, also from the two slot. So in the eyes of CSA, the curse was still alive and well because the only teams to overcome the power of the curse were captained by CSA executives.

For only the second time in 25 tries, the two seed wins a championship.

Defeated #1 seed, It's All About the Beer, in the finals (9/30/01)
WNH survives 10-9 to become the first two seed in 18 tries to win a championship

Victim #25 - CSA Co-ed Softball - Winter 2002 - Thursdays - Blackburn Park - Cleats & Cleavage Lost in the finals to #1 seed, Bar Gravy (3/7/02)
Playing with only eight players, Cleats came up just short, losing 14-12.

Victim #24 - CSA Co-ed Flag Football - Winter 2002 - Mondays - Blackburn Park - Player Haters
Lost in the first round to #7 seed, Better Than Dallas (2/25/02)
Player Haters get upset by a miracle fourth down touchdown.

Victim #23 - CSA Car Dealership Softball - Fall 2001 - Dallas Dodge
Lost in the finals to #1 seed, Atlanta Auto Group (12/9/01)
After finishing second in a five way tie at 4-4, Dallas Dodge was overmatched in the finals

Victim #22 - CSA Men's Flag Football - Fall 2001 - Mondays - Murphy Candler Park - Renegades
Lost in the finals to #1 seed, Wide Right (12/5/01)
Renegades can't stop Wide Right's winning streak and become the 22nd victim in 23 tries.

Victim #21 - CSA Co-ed Softball - Fall 2001 - Wednesdays - Frankie Allen Park - Helmets With Handlebars
Lost in the semi-finals to #6 seed, Drive Fast & Swerve (12/5/01)
Mercy rule claims another two seed, Helmets loses 21-5 in five innings.

Victim #20 - CSA Co-ed Softball - Fall 2001 - Tuesdays - Frankie Allen Park - Widgets
Lost in the semi-finals to #6 seed, Smell the Glove (12/4/01)
Widgets get eliminated in three innings, 23-2.

Victim #19 - CSA Co-ed Flag Football - Fall 2001 - Mondays - Murphy Candler Park - High Maintenance
Lost in the finals to #1 seed, JP2 (12/3/01)
High Maintenance can't hold a 6-0 halftime lead and fall 12-6

Victim #18 - CSA Co-ed Softball - Summer 2001 - Mondays - Piedmont Park - Tequila Slammers
Lost in the finals to #1 seed, Damn Drunks (10/3/01)
Damn Drunks re-instate the curse with a convincing 17-8 win over the Tequila Slammers

Victim #17 - CSA Co-ed Softball - Summer 2001 - Wednesdays - Frankie Allen Park - Vandelay Industries
Lost in the semi-finals to #3 seed, Pete Rose Bets on Us (9/12/01)
Overwhelmed by the eventual champs, Vandelay becomes the 17th victim of the curse 21-8.

Victim #16 - CSA Co-ed Softball - Summer 2001 - Thursdays - Piedmont Park - High Maintenance
Lost in the first round to #7 seed, Nitro (9/6/01)
Perhaps the biggest surprise of all 16. High Maintenance was a favorite to win it all and fell 12-9.

Lost in the semi-finals to #3 seed, Batting For Beers (9/4/01)
The Widgets were undermanned, and BFB took advantage 14-9

Victim #14 - CSA Car Dealership Softball - Summer 2001 - Marietta Toyota
Lost in the elimination finals to #1 seed, Galyan's (8/26/01)
After losing in the open bracket to the #5 seed, Marietta lost a heartbreaker in the elimination finals.

Engineers Southeast - EPD Air & Water - Lost in the elimination quarters to ESE#1 Haines, Gipson (8/16/01)
Architects Northwest - Niles Bolton - Lost in the elimination quarters to ASE#1 Aeyones (8/16/01)
Engineers Northwest - Newcomb & Boyd - Lost in the elimination finals to ENW#1 HESM&A (8/20/01)
Architects Southeast - Lord, Aeck & Sargent - Lost in the Architects championship to ASE#1 Aeyones (8/22/01)
The two's were no match for the ones, all four were eliminated by a division winner

Lost in the finals to #4 seed, It's Roger's Fault Again (7/7/01)
Favored to win, It's All About the Beer gives up seven fifth inning runs and loses 9-5

Lost in the semi-finals to #3 seed, The Flying Pucks (6/26/01)
In a dramatic come from behind win, The Flying Pucks knocked out the expansion Five Holes.

Playing the cinderella team, High Maintenance fell 20 yards short and lost 14-7.
