On November 22nd CSA Sports lost a friend and one of the most influential contributors to our program. We honor a person who was recently described to me as "a really good dude".

Glenroy Rolston Walker, Jr.
June 27, 1976 - November 22, 2011

On November 5th, Glen was driving with his wife, Sandra, and two children, Alana and Cameron, when the minivan they were driving was hit by a woman who crossed over the middle line on Flat Shoals Rd. Alana and Cameron were not injured, but Sandra was severely hurt and Glen's injuries ended up being fatal. Sandra is now home and going through the process of rehabilitation.

Glen Walker was one of the most important and respected people in CSA history. A regular at Happy Hours and a mainstay in the Flag Football program, Glen was probably the most decorated person in CSA, and deservedly so.

He was the MVP of The Melting Pot, Too (1/11/03);

the 2002 Captain of the Year;
and was named #2 on the first ever CSA Top Ten list  (announced 12/13/02)

Glen was also one of six selected during CSA's "History of the Team" series as part of "THE CORE"

Glen made his debut with CSA Sports on April 17, 2001 (with Out of the Air)
and captained numerous teams in a variety of leagues and tournaments, including flag football, softball, kickball, and bowling.

His last team with CSA played during the Spring 2009 Co-ed Flag Football season and The Old-Timers went undefeated and won the league title.

In addition, Glen was a CSA official, refereeing 79 games in the Flag Football and Soccer leagues.

To honor Glen and support his family, CSA Sports is hosting a very special event.
The "MEMORIAL MELTING POT" Co-ed Flag Football Draft tournament  will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 with proceeds going directly to Glen's family
