The six qualifiers will be split into two groups for round robin play. The top two qualifiers from each group advance to single elimination championship round. [Brass Monkey has withdrawn]

The 2008 "Grand Finale" tournament crowns the final CSA co-ed softball champion of 2008. The uneven schedules of the five divisions make a poll ranking format unreliable. The fourth edition of the "Grand Finale" will be an invitational tournament.
The previous season league champions get automatic invitations. The winners of the Spring and Summer sectionals also receive bids as long as they have a record of .500 or better during the Fall 2008 season.
CSA Sports tournament commissioner will select six teams for the invitation only championship finals.

Five of the six slots in the invitational have been filled. Three potential qualifiers have met the specific criteria to guarantee automatic entry
The following teams have already qualified for the "Grand Finale Invitational" championship playoffs:
Smell the Glove (The Throne - Summer League champions)
Liquidated Damages (Destiny - Spring League champions)
Brass Monkey (The Throne runner-up; Piedmont League champions - Summer; Fall record 6-0 )
Grizzly Cubs (Destiny runner-up, Aviation Park champions - Spring; Fall record 5-3)
Infomart Mavericks (Aviation Park Divisional champions - Summer; Fall record 6-1-1)
Potential invitees:
*QUALIFIED* Grizzly Cubs (Destiny
runner-up, Aviation Park champions - Spring; Fall record 4-3)
If Grizzly Cubs finish the regular
season with a record of .500 or better, they receive an automatic invitation
*QUALIFIED* Infomart Mavericks (Aviation
Park Divisional champions - Summer; Fall record 5-1-1)
Infomart Mavericks were one of only two
teams in 2008 to finish a season 10-0. They were the runner-up in the Aviation
Park summer league and that title was subsequently disqualified and all game
results vacated. If Infomart finish in 1st or 2nd in the fall season with a
record of .500 or better, they receive an automatic invitation
