2005 Grand Finale Tournament MVP

Mike Cullinan - Pitcher - Beer Duty
The team captain led Beer Duty on it's journey to their eight consecutive championship game and their sixth title in two years. Mike was the anchor of a defense that allowed 18 runs in their four game march. The 4.5 runs allowed per game came against some stiff competition. The four opponents had a combined record of 32-5-1 and averaged an aggregate 16.5 runs scored per game (Smell the Glove 5-2, 16.6 runs; Game's Cancelled 7-1-1, 13.0; In Every Orphus 10-0, 19.3; Pony's on Parole 9-2, 16.4)
Mike also helped out at the plate, in the title game, he was 2-2 with a run scored and 4 rbi's.

Danny Starrs - LCF - Beer Duty

Danny kickstarted the Beer Duty offense that averaged 17 runs a game in the tournament. In the semi-finals Danny led the team to a 20-3 victory over previously undefeated In Every Orphus. Danny led the game off with a home run and the team never looked back. A three run homer in the second inning left little doubt that the rout was on. The title game was no different. Trailing 2-0 entering the bottom of the first, a drive to the gap went for a leadoff triple. After scoring his teams first run, Danny doubled in his second at bat of the first inning to drive in the ninth run of the inning.
