In the summer leagues marquee match-up, Billy Otis holds on by the thinnest of margins to knock off Tenacious D. Billy jumped out to a halftime lead and held on for their captain, Laura Severinsen. The win gave Billy Otis a third place finish and knocked Tenacious D down to fifth place heading into the playoffs.

The first half was dominated by Billy Otis. QB Roger Werner ran in the first touchdown on a 12 yard scramble. The conversion attempt failed, and the score was 6-0. Billy padded the lead just before the half when Werner found Casey Brown for a two yard touchdown pass. On the extra point, Werner was again forced to scramble and was able to flip the ball to Kathy Reiff to add the one point score.

Billy Otis controlled most of the second half as well. Until the two minute warning, BO had protected their two score lead. With time running down, Tenacious managed to get on the board. Michael Walker caught a 32 yard halfback option pass for Tenacious D's first score. The ensuing conversion attempt was intercepted and the score was 12-6.

All Billy Otis had to do was run out the clock. Trying to get the first down necessary to ice the game, Werner was intercepted by Kourtney Cotton. Cotton returned the ball 10 yards for a touchdown, and all of a sudden, Tenacious D was in a position to win. Electing to go for the win rather than the tie, Tenacious went for two. Trying the same halfback option play that got them their only offensive touchdown, Billy Otis' Brian Albini knocked down the pass attempt and Billy Otis held on for a 13-12 win.
