WINTER WARRIORS!
Top seeded Bar Gravy sweeps the one night playoff to win the Co-ed Softball championship

In a one-night only event, Bar Gravy proved why they were the top seed. After losing their last regular season game, Bar Gravy responded by being the last team standing at the end of the night.

Led by a solid offense, balanced line-up and strong defense, Bar Gravy was able to knock off the 2, 4, and 8 seeds. Bar Gravy's offense put constant pressure on their opponent. They scored runs in 16 of 17 innings, and scored five or more runs in an inning five times.

In the finals, Bar Gravy was able to overcome an inspired Cleats & Cleavage. Cleats managed to get to the finals by dismantling both Team Me and Last Call. Cleats did this with only eight players. Led by Playoff MVP, Jim Daley, Cleats & Cleavage gave Bar Gravy all they could handle in the finals.

In the championship game, Bar Gravy jumped out early and led 10-2 after three innings. When it looked like they would pull away, Cleats started chipping away at the lead. They cut the lead to six runs after four and trailed 13-10 at the end of five. Cleats & Cleavage made a late run and cut the lead to two runs with two outs in the seventh, but they could not get any closer. Bar Gravy took the first softball championship of 2002 with a 14-12 win.
