CSA BOWLING RULES
1. Teams:
All CSA bowling teams consist of four bowlers on the lane at any one time. CSA
Sports Leagues operates our bowling leagues under a handicap mixed league standard
league format.
2. League
Matches: All games will be coordinated/officiated by bowling alley staff in
conjunction with CSA Sports Leagues rules & regulations. If you have any questions
during league play, please refer to the bowling center staff for further information.
3. Start
of play: Your match begins at or before your scheduled start time each league night.
All bowlers must be on your lane & prepared to begin bowling at or before the league
start time.
4. Length
of play: Each league match consists of three games per team of four (4) bowlers. Teams
may change bowlers (from your team roster) for various games within the match if desired
or needed on league night. You are not allowed to change bowlers within a particular game.
5. Team Handicap: Each Team Handicap will be established the first night of play. The teams total score will be subtracted from the number of bowlers for the team times 600. (# of bowlers X 600 - Team Total). That amount will be multiplied by 0.8 and divided by three. Subtract 200 from this total to get the Team Handicap for each game.
Ex. Team X has a total on the first day of 1500. Four bowlers compete.
(4 X 600) - 1500 = 900 X 0.8 = 720 / 3 = 240 - 200 = 40
Team X will have a per game handicap of 40.
6. Scoring:
League scoring will be done on the following basis: One (1) point is awarded to the
winner of each team game and Two (2) points are awarded for the winner of the team series
(total pinfall with handicap).
7.
Bonus Points: Each week teams are eligible to score extra bonus points. For
